Company History

Harishkumar C. Mody

Started his work experience in the 1960s. He used to take government road contracts, textile mill contracts and mastic flooring, cement concrete roadworks, railway platform works along with metal supply to rail tracks in and around Viramgam and Ahmedabad. After more than a decade of experience, C.T Mody and sons was started by Harishbhai C. Mody in 1972.

Post-1972, after the formation of C.T Mody and Sons, the company received numerous road work contracts from textile mills. Many road works related to co-operative societies also started shooting up and C.T. Mody and Sons were at the forefront of receiving contracts and finishing up the work provided.

Originally the landmark road from Shivranjani to Shreyas bridge in the city of Ahmedabad was developed by none other than C.T. Mody and Sons. Upon finishing the roadwork at Shivranjani, the firm got contracts to develop roads in the societies connected with the Shivranjani main road.

After graduating from HL College of commerce in the year 1988 Ashish joined the family business. Once joining the family business, there was no looking back. Ashish diversified the business and added other services related to RCC flooring and Paver Blocks.

He also holds a position as a director in Ganesh Housing Corporation Ltd., Vadilal Enterprise Ltd., and Vadilal Chemicals Ltd.

Kavish A. Mody

Kavish completed his Full-Time MBA from Alliance Manchester Business school which is ranked among the Top 50 MBA programs across the globe by FT(Financial Times) and QS Universities.

He previously worked in Ganesh Housing Corporation Limited for 3 years between 2016 till 2019 before pursuing his master's course in the UK.

During his 15 month MBA program, Kavish worked on 3 major consultancy projects for 3 different business types to find a solution to their issues and come up with relevant solutions.

International Business Project – Worked for DCC plc. an FTSE 100 firm, on their sustainability wing DCC Vital that focuses on sustainable development of medical equipments for the future. Researched sustainable business models and product cycles along with sustainable materials and/or technologies that can be used for medical products.
Commercial Business Project – Worked with a National playground equipments manufacturer Playdale Equipments Pvt. Ltd. To know about the threats to their current products from technology and other advanced products from other markets globally such as China.
Not-for-profit Business project – Worked on logistics and data management for a Not-for-profit bakery in Liverpool with the name of HomeBaked for their new business model of Pies-by-post throughout the UK.
Kavish is a Precision Nutrition certified nutritionist and was the first in the city of Ahmedabad to receive this certificate. He runs his fitness and nutrition consultation since 2018.

Our History

1970

Company was formed which initially started taking road work contracts for textile mills.
Started road work for co-op. societies.

1975

Built the prestigious road from Shivranjani to Shreyas Bridge and its adjacent societies.

1980

Road work at the prestigious Satyagrah Chhavani was developed by the company under the leadership of Harishkumar Mody.

1985

Ashish Mody joined the family business in the late 1980’s.
Reduction in road work at textile mills and increase in Real estate projects.

1990

The company diversified into building RCC roadwork and Trimix work.

2000

The company started offering paver block fitting and curbing as a part of their services.
The company started accepting work orders beyond the city boundaries.

2005

Ashish Mody entered into the board of directors of 2 companies namely Ganesh Housing Corp.Ltd. And Vadilal Industries.

2010

Company diversified into developing walking tracks and footpaths for private farm houses, sports academies.

2015

The company name was changed from C.T. Mody and sons to A. Mody Construction co.

2020

Looking Beyond

As the new decade commences, we at A. Mody Construction co. look forward to strengthen our client base and expand our foothold in the city of Ahmedabad and beyond too.
